I have been a member of a new gym since January of this year. I have noticed online that there seems to be a lot of rant videos criticizing other peoples bad etiquette at the gym. Now while I don't claim to be the sultan of proper human behaviour there are certain things that I feel could improve my gym experience.
1. Having a Grooming Station with hair styling products that do not work
This one seems kinda simple to me. If you have blow dryers and curling irons for people to use they should work. If they don't work they should not be left plugged in pretending that they do. You are not fooling anyone
2. Humping the shoulder
This is a phrase to describe people that creep up behind you while you are using or cleaning a machine. They want to use the machine after you and they think by humping your shoulder that it will light a fire under your ass somehow and you will go faster. Instead of creeping do a calf stretch for 30 seconds. The machine still will be waiting for you when your done
3. Attention Whores
People at the gym that do their exercises like they are a ferret on crystal meth. We all understand that you want to have a high intensity workout but why do you find the need to draw so much attention to yourself? You have your knees so high on the treadmill that you are going to knock yourself out. Do us all a favour and run around the track 40 times outside to drain that excess energy that you seem to have.
4. Correcting other Peoples Form
Um I'm sorry, did I ask you for your help? No I didn't. I know you think that you are Billy Blanks in Richard Simmons body but I don' need any unsolicited advice. No one likes a back-seat driver
